Title and Description Templates

Build reusable listing copy with instructions and product fields.

Last updated 2026-09-08

In short

A template mixes fixed text, AI instructions in square brackets, and product fields such as measurements. SECND fills it when it creates listing copy for a product.

How templates work

1.

Open Templates

Open Listing Manager → Templates.

The title template controls generated titles. The description template controls generated descriptions. Fixed words appear as written. Instructions and fields are resolved for each product when SECND generates its listing copy.

Heads up

A template affects newly generated copy. It does not rewrite existing listings until you regenerate or edit them.

Instructions and fields

Put an instruction in square brackets, such as [brand and item type]. SECND treats it as guidance for the generated text instead of printing the brackets literally.

Use Measurements or Condition fields in a description template to insert structured product data. Measurement formatting follows your Measurement settings. Title templates treat @words as normal text because dynamic fields are description-only.

Preview and save

Use the preview to check the order of fixed text, instructions, and product fields. The preview uses sample product data, so wording may differ when SECND processes a real item. Save the template before testing it on a new listing.

Marketplace-specific copy

Description prefixes and suffixes add fixed text before or after the generated description for selected marketplaces. They are separate from the main template, which keeps the core copy reusable.

Open Templates → Description prefix & suffix.
