Supported marketplaces, POS systems and sales channels

SECND connects to resale marketplaces, POS systems and your own storefront. Marketplaces with a seller API publish server-side; the rest use a browser session through the Chrome extension. This page explains what each connection type can and cannot do.

Two kinds of connection

How a channel connects determines what it can do, and it is worth understanding before you plan your workflow. Some marketplaces publish a seller API; some do not.

Connection typeHow it worksWhat that means for you
API connectionYou authorise SECND once, and listings are published from our servers.Listing and delisting happen whether or not your computer is on. This is the reliable path.
Browser sessionThe Chrome extension acts through your logged-in browser session.Needed for marketplaces without a seller API. Requires the extension to be installed and you to be signed in.

Marketplaces

SECND supports the marketplaces where resale inventory actually sells: eBay, Etsy, Depop, Poshmark, Grailed, Vinted and more, alongside Shopify as a sales channel and your own SECND storefront. The live list — and which of them are currently API or extension based — is shown on the integrations screen inside your account, because it changes as marketplaces open and close their APIs.

For each connected marketplace SECND handles the fields that marketplace requires. eBay item specifics, Poshmark sizing, Etsy attributes and Depop categories are all populated from the single draft you approved, rather than being retyped per channel.

POS and retail systems

  • Square — catalogue import and real-time sales sync, including Square Terminal checkout for consignment stores.
  • Shopify — products, inventory and orders in both directions, so a Shopify POS sale delists your marketplace listings.
  • Lightspeed — catalogue and sales sync for retail stores already running Lightspeed.
  • SECND register — a built-in point of sale if you would rather not run a separate system.

AI assistants

SECND also connects to AI assistants that speak MCP, so you can ask questions about your inventory and drive listing work conversationally. That is a genuinely different interface rather than a gimmick: querying six months of sell-through in a sentence is faster than building the report.

What if a channel you use is missing

Marketplace coverage is the most common feature request we get, and it drives the roadmap directly. If the channel you sell on is not supported, request it — requests are public, votable, and visible on the roadmap.

Frequently asked questions

Which marketplaces need the Chrome extension?

The ones that do not offer a seller API. The integrations screen labels each channel so you know before you connect. Everything with an API publishes server-side and does not need the extension.

Can I connect more than one account on the same marketplace?

Multi-account support depends on the marketplace's own rules about parallel seller accounts. Check the integrations screen for the channel you have in mind, and get in touch if you are running a legitimate multi-store setup.

Does connecting a channel import my existing listings?

Yes, on the channels that support it. Importing your existing listings is usually the right first move, because it gives SECND the inventory record it needs in order to delist correctly later.

What happens if a marketplace changes its API?

SECND maintains the adapters. Marketplace API changes are handled on our side, which is one of the practical arguments for an API-based tool over a browser script that breaks whenever a page layout changes.
