For consignment stores

Consignment software that also sells the item

Most consignment software stops at the register. SECND handles consignor accounts, splits and payouts, then puts the same item on eBay, Etsy, Poshmark, Depop and your own storefront - and pulls it down everywhere the second it sells.

What breaks first in consignment stores

Consignor math lives in a spreadsheet

Splits, fees, store credit and period expiry get reconciled by hand at month end. One typo becomes an awkward conversation with the consignor who brought you your best inventory.

Your floor inventory is invisible online

Every item is a one-off, so listing it online means re-photographing and re-typing everything. Most stores give up and leave the majority of their stock offline.

The same item sells twice

It sold on the floor at 2pm and on eBay at 2:04pm. Now you are cancelling an order, eating a defect, and calling a consignor.

How it runs on SECND

The same five steps, every item, whether it sells on the floor or on a marketplace.

  1. 1

    Intake against a consignor account

Photograph the item, pick the consignor, and let AI draft the title, category, condition and description. The split and consignment period attach to the item automatically.

  2. 2

    Tag and shelf it

Print a barcode label from the same screen. The SKU is what your register, your marketplace listings and your consignor statement all point at.

  3. 3

    Crosslist in one pass

Push the item to the marketplaces you sell on. Marketplace-specific fields - eBay item specifics, Poshmark size, Etsy attributes - are filled from the one draft you approved.

  4. 4

    Sell anywhere, delist everywhere

A floor sale through Square or Shopify POS, or a marketplace sale, marks the item sold and removes the other listings without anyone touching a keyboard.

  5. 5

    Pay consignors from real numbers

Each sale posts to the consignor ledger at the split that was on the item when it came in. Run payouts by period and hand over a statement that ties out.

What you get

Consignor accounts and contracts

Per-consignor splits, consignment periods, expiry handling and a running balance. Consignors can see their own items and sales instead of calling the shop.

Payout ledger

Every sale creates a ledger entry. Pay out by cash, cheque or store credit and keep an auditable history rather than a rebuilt spreadsheet.

AI intake for one-of-a-kind stock

Built for unique SKUs, not for restocking the same UPC. Photo-first drafting means an item goes from box to listed without a catalogue lookup.

POS sync that actually delists

Square and Shopify POS sales flow back within seconds, so the floor and the marketplaces never disagree about what is in stock.

Barcode labels and a label station

Print consignment tags with barcode, SKU, price and consignor code on standard label printers.

Crosslisting to where resale buyers are

eBay, Etsy, Poshmark, Depop, Grailed, Vinted, Shopify and your SECND storefront from one draft.

Consignment Stores: frequently asked questions

Does SECND replace my consignment POS?

It can, or it can sit alongside one. SECND has its own register for in-person sales, and it also syncs with Square and Shopify POS if you already run one of those. What it always owns is the consignor ledger and the marketplace listings, so the split you agreed at intake is the split that gets paid.

How do commission splits work?

You set a default split for the store and override it per consignor or per item. The split is stamped onto the item at intake, so changing a consignor's terms later never rewrites the payout on inventory they already dropped off.

Can consignors see their own items?

Yes. Each consignor gets a view of the items they have with you, what has sold, what is still on the floor, and their current balance. That removes most of the phone calls a consignment store fields in a week.

What happens when a consignment period expires?

Items carry their consignment period from intake. SECND surfaces items that have hit expiry so you can mark them down, convert them to store-owned stock, or schedule a pickup, rather than discovering them a year later.

Will the same item sell twice if I list it in five places?

No. Every listing points at one inventory record. When any channel reports a sale - floor, marketplace, or storefront - SECND marks the item sold and delists it everywhere else automatically.
